ICON K53163 RXT Stage 3 Rear Suspension System for 2005-2023 Toyota Tacoma

Through thousands of miles of accelerated testing in our R&D program, ICON has spent over a year identifying limiting factors in OE components and seeking to further extrapolate performance out of this vehicle. In a push to provide unparalleled performance for everything from high-speed desert running to off the grid expedition, the RXT Rear Suspension System was born. The RXT Rear Suspension System includes three all-new 2.5 Aluminum Series rear shock options and a multi-rate leaf spring that work in conjunction with the ICON rear bump stop kit. Installation of this system replaces the aforementioned “limiting factors” and completely redefines the potential of the 2005-2023 Toyota Tacoma with a 20% increase in wheel travel and the ability to adjust the leaf spring rate to compensate for varying vehicle setups. The RXT Suspension System includes 2.5 Aluminum Series rear shocks and a multi-rate leaf spring that work in conjunction with the ICON rear bump stop kit for a 20% increase in wheel travel and the ability to adjust the leaf spring rate. APPLICATION NOTE #87: Installation of complete ICON system required to attain advertised wheel travel. Use of any other manufacturers components will not provide advertised wheel travel and could cause unknown damage.

The RXT rear shocks feature one-piece impact-extruded aluminum cylinders for corrosion resistance and consistent appearance, along with 10-inch aluminum reservoirs that provide increased oil and nitrogen volume for stable damping as temperatures rise. Omega Series two-tube bypass technology offers 28 compression and rebound adjustment settings, while vehicle-specific tuning, a side-mounted lower eyelet, and fully rebuildable and revalvable construction help optimize performance. The included multi-rate leaf springs provide three user-adjustable spring rates to accommodate different vehicle configurations and use galvanized separators, leaf-tip inserts, and a military-wrap front eyelet for reduced friction, quieter operation, improved comfort, and enhanced durability.
The ICON hydraulic rear bump stop kit mounts directly to the factory bump stop location for a straightforward installation. Its position-sensitive design improves bottom-out resistance and reduces rear-end kick, while the vehicle-specific tune promotes smooth engagement and controlled ride quality. Additional features include a heavy-duty CNC-machined nitro steel shaft, replaceable noise-reducing striker pad, corrosion-resistant multi-stage plated body, double-sealed high-pressure Schrader valve, and fully serviceable construction. The bump stops provide 2.5 inches of travel and operate across a 50-250 PSI range.
This ICON RXT system is designed to provide up to a 20% increase in wheel travel when the complete system is installed as intended. Installation of the complete ICON system is required to achieve the advertised wheel travel; combining these components with parts from other manufacturers may prevent the stated performance and could cause damage. Direct bolt-in mounting at the original equipment locations helps simplify installation while retaining a vehicle-specific fit and function.
