ICON K53162 RXT Stage 2 Rear Suspension System for 2005-2023 Toyota Tacoma

Through thousands of miles of accelerated testing in our R&D program, ICON has spent over a year identifying limiting factors in OE components and seeking to further extrapolate performance out of this vehicle. In a push to provide unparalleled performance for everything from high-speed desert running to off the grid expedition, the RXT Rear Suspension System was born. The RXT Rear Suspension System includes three all-new 2.5 Aluminum Series rear shock options and a multi-rate leaf spring that work in conjunction with the ICON rear bump stop kit. Installation of this system replaces the aforementioned “limiting factors” and completely redefines the potential of the 2005-2023 Toyota Tacoma with a 20% increase in wheel travel and the ability to adjust the leaf spring rate to compensate for varying vehicle setups. The RXT Suspension System includes 2.5 Aluminum Series rear shocks and a multi-rate leaf spring that work in conjunction with the ICON rear bump stop kit for a 20% increase in wheel travel and the ability to adjust the leaf spring rate. APPLICATION NOTE #87: Installation of complete ICON system required to attain advertised wheel travel. Use of any other manufacturers components will not provide advertised wheel travel and could cause unknown damage.

The vehicle-specific RXT rear shocks feature 10-inch aluminum reservoirs that provide increased oil and nitrogen volume for consistent damping as temperatures rise. Their CDC Valve technology offers 10 compression damping settings for quick adjustments, while the side-mounted lower eyelets increase suspension travel using the factory mounting locations. Corrosion-resistant, impact-extruded aluminum bodies and 7/8-inch shafts support demanding off-road use, and the shocks are fully rebuildable and revalveable. The RXT multi-rate leaf springs provide three user-adjustable spring rates to accommodate different vehicle configurations, with galvanized leaf separators, leaf tip inserts, and military-wrap front eyelets for reduced friction, improved comfort, and added durability.
The ICON hydraulic rear bump stop kit bolts directly into the original equipment locations for a straightforward installation. Its 2.5-inch travel bump stops use position-sensitive technology to increase bottom-out resistance, reduce rear-end kick, and support a smoother ride. Vehicle-specific tuning, a multi-stage CAD-plated body, a heavy-duty 1 1/4-inch CNC-machined nitro steel shaft, and a replaceable noise-reducing striker pad enhance performance and serviceability. Application Note #87: Installation of the complete ICON system is required to achieve the advertised wheel travel. Use of components from other manufacturers may prevent the system from delivering its intended performance and could result in unknown damage.
