ICON K53156 RXT Stage 2 Rear Suspension System for 2007-2021 Toyota Tundra

Through an accelerated testing process dubbed the “ICON1K” R&D program, ICON has spent over a year pushing the Tundra to off-road extremes to identify limiting factors in OE components and further extrapolate performance out of this vehicle. In a push to provide unparalleled ride quality and vehicle dynamics for everything from high-speed desert running to off the grid expedition, the RXT Rear Suspension System was born. The RXT Rear Suspension System is a combination of an all new ICON multi-rate leaf spring, a hydraulic rear bump stop kit, and three RXT-specific 2.5 Aluminum Series rear shock options. The ICON K53156 RXT Stage 2 Rear Suspension System is engineered for 2007-2021 Toyota Tundra trucks seeking improved ride quality, suspension travel, and off-road performance. The RXT multi-rate leaf springs provide three user-adjustable spring rates to accommodate different vehicle configurations, cargo loads, and aftermarket equipment. When paired with the RXT shocks, the system can increase wheel travel by up to 20 percent without sacrificing available up-travel. Galvanized leaf separators help reduce friction and corrosion, while leaf tip inserts improve ride comfort and reduce operating noise. Military-wrap front eyelets add durability, and the leaf springs install directly in the original equipment mounting locations.
The hydraulic rear bump stop kit bolts directly into the factory bump stop locations for a straightforward installation. Its position-sensitive design improves bottom-out resistance and reduces rear-end kick, while vehicle-specific tuning promotes smooth engagement and controlled performance. The fully serviceable bump stops feature a heavy-duty 1.25-inch CNC-machined nitro steel shaft, corrosion-resistant plated body, replaceable noise-reducing striker pad, and an operating range of 50-250 PSI.
The RXT rear shocks use 10-inch aluminum reservoirs to increase oil and nitrogen volume for consistent damping as temperatures rise. CDC Valve technology provides 10 compression damping settings for quick adjustment, and the unique side-mounted lower eyelet increases travel while retaining the factory mounting location. Corrosion-resistant aluminum bodies, 7/8-inch shafts, and fully rebuildable, revalveable construction support long-term serviceability. This system is recommended for use with 35-inch by 12.50-inch tires; larger tires may require fender trimming or additional modifications.
