ICON 2.5 Aluminum Series shocks are designed and built to give your vehicle outstanding performance off-road and a smooth ride on the street. These shocks are configured specifically for each application in both length and damping tune. Like all ICON'S Shock Absorbers, 2.5 Aluminum Series shocks are 100% rebuildable and 100% revalveable. For piggyback and specific remote reservoir applications, ICON'S unique use of a 6061 billet aluminum manifold a few inches below the top cap of the shock creates an internal Bump Zone that when used creates an additional 20% of damping force. This additional force helps prevent harsh bottom outs and controls the suspension when compressing at high velocity. If you are looking for a more user defined tune, consider looking into the Compression Damping Control Valve (CDCV) or the Omega Series bypass shocks. The ICON 57810P shock set uses vehicle-specific length and damping calibration to help maintain suspension control across changing terrain. Remote reservoirs improve heat dissipation, reducing shock fade during prolonged or demanding use.
The nitrogen-charged monotube design features a one-piece digressive piston and premium 5WT shock oil for consistent damping across a broad temperature range. ICON’s 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum construction provides corrosion resistance, a durable finish, and reliable performance. The internal Bump Zone increases damping by 20 percent as the shock approaches full compression, helping reduce harsh bottom-outs and improving control during high-velocity suspension compression.
Built for serviceability and tuning flexibility, ICON 57810P shocks are 100 percent rebuildable and revalveable. PTFE-lined spherical bearings, application-specific mounting hardware, and a 7/8-inch induction-hardened chrome-plated shock shaft support long-term durability. The shocks can also be upgraded to ICON’s Compression Damping Control Valve (CDCV) for more user-defined damping adjustment. This pair is designed for select Toyota 4Runner and FJ Cruiser configurations; verify vehicle year, suspension setup, and application before installation.
Important fitment note: These shocks will not fit models equipped with factory rear air suspension. Vehicles with rear air suspension require a rear coil conversion using ICON part number 56110, along with rear coil springs such as ICON part number 52700 or 52800.
