ICON 27821P 2.5 Series Front Remote Reservoir Shocks for 2018+ Jeep Wrangler JL

ICON Vehicle Specific (V.S.) 2.5 Aluminum Series shocks are designed and built to give your vehicle outstanding performance off-road and a smooth ride on the street. These shocks are configured specifically for each application in both length and damping tune. Like all ICON'S Shock Absorbers, V.S. 2.5 Aluminum Series shocks are 100% rebuildable and 100% revalveable. For piggyback and specific remote reservoir applications, ICON'S unique use of a 6061 billet aluminum manifold a few inches below the top cap of the shock creates an internal Bump Zone that when used creates an additional 20% of damping force. This additional force helps prevent harsh bottom outs and controls the suspension when compressing at high velocity. If you are looking for a more user defined tune, consider looking into the Compression Damping Control Valve (CDCV) shocks. Part number 27821P includes a pair of application-specific shocks configured for the correct length and damping characteristics, helping deliver controlled off-road performance while maintaining a smooth, comfortable ride on paved roads. These shocks are not compatible with Wranglers equipped with the 3.6L V6 eTorque engine.

The nitrogen-charged monotube design uses a piggyback remote reservoir to improve heat dissipation and help reduce shock fade during extended or demanding use. ICON’s internal Bump Zone, formed through a 6061 billet aluminum manifold, adds approximately 20% damping force as the shock approaches full compression. This added control helps manage high-velocity suspension compression, reduce harsh bottom-outs, and improve vehicle stability over rough terrain. The one-piece digressive piston and vehicle-specific valving are designed to provide consistent response both on and off the road.
