The FOX Performance Series 2.0 rear shock, part number 985-24-118, is engineered to improve ride control, off-road capability, and durability on select Toyota 4Runner, FJ Cruiser, and Tacoma applications with a 2- to 3-inch lift. Application-specific valving provides a comfortable on-road ride with predictable handling over rough terrain, while extended droop travel helps maintain suspension performance when the vehicle is articulated off-road.

This smooth-body shock uses a remote reservoir system to increase oil capacity and dissipate heat quickly, delivering consistent, fade-resistant performance during demanding driving. A true internal floating piston separates the oil from high-pressure nitrogen gas to reduce aeration and maintain controlled damping. The race-developed main piston and FOX Racing Oil are designed to provide responsive suspension control and a connected feel with less body sway.

Built for harsh environments, the FOX shock features an aluminum body that dissipates heat faster than conventional steel construction, along with black-anodized CNC-machined aluminum components for corrosion resistance and long-term durability. The large heavy-duty hard-chrome shaft and hourglass bushings support increased articulation, while the included aluminum reservoir clamp helps secure the external reservoir during installation.
